KJ Brewer knew from a young age that she wanted to work in fashion and beauty. Her determination landed her a retail job at just 15 in a trendy junior apparel shop. Over the years, she built a successful career, serving as a store manager, area manager, and district trainer for globally recognized brands.

In 2022, KJ stepped away from retail to work in healthcare, advocating for individuals with special needs. However, after nearly three years, she realized her true passion remained in retail and returned to the industry she loves.

At 51, KJ is full of experience, wisdom, and energy. As a co-host on @girlieladies, she uses the platform to discuss the challenges of navigating through midlife.

KJ is passionate about sharing insights, uplifting others, and proving that confidence and career growth have no expiration date. She can’t wait for you to join the conversation!

Sonji Cosby

Sonji Cosby is a former TV journalist with nearly 30 years in broadcast news, having worked at CNN and other major networks. She covered stories nationwide, producing from newsrooms in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, and Dallas.

Originally from Baltimore, Sonji now resides in Dallas with her husband and two sons. After a successful career in television news, she transitioned to healthcare, where she advocates for patients and ensures they receive quality care.

An avid traveler, she especially enjoys cruises and never misses the excitement of football season. Her love for engaging conversations led her to podcasting, where she empowers women navigating midlife transitions.

With her journalism background and heart for storytelling, Sonji brings authenticity, wisdom, and encouragement—helping women embrace midlife with confidence, purpose, and clarity.

Dr. Jessica Gunning DPT has been a pediatric physical therapist since 2010 and now focuses on helping special needs children 0-3 in a home setting. Over the last four years her practice has encompassed more overall wellness and gut health as she saw a need for more education in her community.

She began researching gut healing and experimented with various supplements to help her postpartum when she suffered with PPD and anxiety. Meet Dr. Leah Square, a trailblazing beauty entrepreneur and the creative force behind Faces by Leah Microblading + Makeup in Baton Rouge, LA.

Armed with certifications from MAC Cosmetics, Melba Beauty and Beso Makeup along with a degree in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University, Dr. Leah’s journey into entrepreneurship began in 2021.

Dr. Leah is actively involved in the Junior League of Baton Rouge and also cherishes directing her own personal philanthropic projects focused around providing cancer survivors with life-changing permanent makeup services free of cost. In recognition of her charitable and entrepreneurial efforts, Dr. Leah was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Philosophy as well as a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from the Office of Pres. Joe Biden in 2023.

Her contributions show that beauty is not only skin deep but rooted in compassion, determination and giving back.
